Cara menghitung Ankle Brachial Index

ABI adalah pengukuran untuk menilai tekanan/perfusi ke distal/ekstremitas inferior.

Ukur tekanan darah lengan atas terlebih dahulu. Kemudian pilih tekanan yang paling tinggi.

Lalu ukur tekanan darah di ekstremitas inferior, biasanya di arteri dorsalis pedis atau arteri tibialis posterior dengan Doppler. Ambil tekanan yang paling tinggi.

Rasio dari tekanan darah dari ankle terhadap lengan/brachial merupakan hasil dari ABI.

Nilai normal ABI > 1

interpretasi ABI <0,8 disebut PAD.
